Every morning, I go to the gym, swim 20 laps of an Olympic size pool, walk up to 10 kilometres, eat a healthy breakfast, cooked by my wife, Jean. Then it’s off to a demanding day at work.

I have the energy of a man in his 20s, but 12 months ago, aged 56, could hardly walk to the local shops without getting puffed out.
